2023-10-06 “An idea of the future” – NEW EXHIBITION

“An idea of the future” Luca Casonato’s solo exhibition from 06 October 2023 to 15 Dicember 2023 at Easy Point, Caldera Park, Via Caldera 21, 20153 Milan. Opening hours: Monday and Tuesday 08:30-19:30; Wednesday and Thursday 08:30-18:30; Friday 09:00-18:00; Saturday 09:00-12:30; Sunday closed “Un’idea di futuro” Mostra personale di Luca Casonato dal 06 ottobre 2023 al 15 dicembre 2023 presso l’Easy Point, Caldera Park, Via Caldera 21, 20153 Milano Orari di apertura: lunedì e martedì 08:30–19:30; mercoledì e giovedì 08:30–18:30; venerdì 09:00–18:00; sabato 09:00–12:30; domenica chiuso The images exhibited are taken from two projects – Colliders and CityLife – shot a few years apart and both focused on the idea of the future that the objects portrayed represented. Colliders is a photographic documentation of particle accelerators, artefacts produced by the most extreme human technical-scientific skill, albeit without original aesthetic ambitions or concessions to design. Colliders is a photographic elegy on the sophistication of machines and technology. CityLife depicts the multifunctional residential complex built in Milan by Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid as part of the CityLife project. The images were taken in 2014 when the buildings were nearing their completion. Le immagini esposte sono tratte da due progetti – Colliders e […]

26-07-2023 Galleria Zero… in una foto di Luca Casonato

In issue 213, June 2023, of JULIET Art Magazine, on page 66, you can read Elena Marcon‘s excellent article “Galleria Zero… in a photo by Luca Casonato” dedicated to Galleria Zero… of Milan. This is the first in a series of articles that I, together with Emanuele Magri, have proposed to JULIET Art Magazine and which will investigate Milan’s art galleries and in particular their interiors. The art galleries will always be portrayed empty, when the exhibition is not set up, without visitors. In the long term, the project will consist of my images, articles by Emanuele Magri and Elena Marcon, and textual contributions from galleries owners and artists.I would like to build a kind of atlas of Milan’s art galleries that facilitates further networking in the art world and triggers reflections on the exhibition space. “A numinous atmosphere, at times transcendent, envelops Luca Casonato’s photographs, which smoothes out any awareness of the outside world, which instead of distancing, brings one closer, in a dual correspondence between the totally other and the desire for knowledge that brings one closer. The bare gallery is the subject itself […]” Elena Marcon Nel numero 213, giugno 2023, di JULIET Art Magazine, a pag. 66, potete […]

22-09-02 New Article on Memo Magazine

You can enjoy some of the pictures I took during “Il Tour dell’Abitare” inside the beautiful article “Perché più bello del Salento c’è solo quello che il Salento sa fare” (“Because more beautiful than the Salento is only what the Salento knows how to do”) by Paolo Marcesini published in Memo – Grandi Magazzini Culturali. In the Puglia region, ‘savoir faire is above all a question of respect owed to those who were there before us and those who will come after. In between there is work and a sense of gratitude towards the beauty that only that land can give you’. Paolo Marcesini CLICK HERE to read the complete article CLICK HERE CLICK […]

2022-07-18 Dalila Formentini’s New Website – forniture shooting

Here is Dalila Formentini’s new website, for which I took the pictures. I aimed to capture the spirit of the tables designed by Dalila Formentini and her ability to make contemporary and ancient art coexist. Here are her tables: “without time or place, they can be placed indoors or outdoors, […] they are colourful because colour is the ‘salt of life’. Every colour has its own life, its own strength, its own meaning, it can trigger an emotion.” Dalila Formentini You can also read about the Raul coffee table designed by Dalila Formentini in the article written by Jermaine Oscar Gallacher in the Financial Times. “Good design can be practical, powerful and jolly all at the […]
