The images exhibited are taken from two projects – Colliders and CityLife – shot a few years apart and both focused on the idea of the future that the objects portrayed represented.
Colliders is a photographic documentation of particle accelerators, artefacts produced by the most extreme human technical-scientific skill, albeit without original aesthetic ambitions or concessions to design. Colliders is a photographic elegy on the sophistication of machines and technology.
CityLife depicts the multifunctional residential complex built in Milan by Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid as part of the CityLife project. The images were taken in 2014 when the buildings were nearing their completion.
Le immagini esposte sono tratte da due progetti – Colliders e CityLife – scattati a qualche anno distanza ed entrambi incentrati sull’idea di futuro che gli oggetti ritratti rappresentavano.
Colliders è una documentazione fotografica degli acceleratori di particelle, manufatti prodotti dalla più estrema abilità tecnico-scientifica umana, benché privi di originarie ambizioni estetiche o di concessioni al design. Colliders è un’elegia fotografica sulla raffinatezza delle macchine e della tecnologia.
CityLife ritrae il complesso residenziale polifunzionale realizzato a Milano dall’architetta irachena Zaha Hadid nell’ambito del progetto CityLife. Le immagini sono state scattate nel 2014 quando gli edifici stavano per essere terminati.
