22-09-02 New Article on Memo Magazine

You can enjoy some of the pictures I took during “Il Tour dell’Abitare” inside the beautiful article “Perché più bello del Salento c’è solo quello che il Salento sa fare” (“Because more beautiful than the Salento is only what the Salento knows how to do”) by Paolo Marcesini published in Memo – Grandi Magazzini Culturali. In the Puglia region, ‘savoir faire is above all a question of respect owed to those who were there before us and those who will come after. In between there is work and a sense of gratitude towards the beauty that only that land can give you’. Paolo Marcesini CLICK HERE to read the complete article CLICK HERE CLICK […]

2022-07-18 Dalila Formentini’s New Website – forniture shooting

Here is Dalila Formentini’s new website, for which I took the pictures. I aimed to capture the spirit of the tables designed by Dalila Formentini and her ability to make contemporary and ancient art coexist. Here are her tables: “without time or place, they can be placed indoors or outdoors, […] they are colourful because colour is the ‘salt of life’. Every colour has its own life, its own strength, its own meaning, it can trigger an emotion.” Dalila Formentini You can also read about the Raul coffee table designed by Dalila Formentini in the article written by Jermaine Oscar Gallacher in the Financial Times. “Good design can be practical, powerful and jolly all at the […]

2022-05-01 Rossini Art Site – sculpture park

It was with great pleasure that I visited and photographed the Rossini Art Site, a 10-hectare sculpture park nestled among the hills in the green heart of the Valle del Lambro park, which enjoys an evocative location and a breathtaking view of the Alps. It houses the wonderful collection of the entrepreneur and patron Alberto Rossini, including works by internationally renowned artists such as Pietro Consagra, Bruno Munari, Giò Pomodoro, Fausto Melotti, Andrea Cascella, Denis Oppenheim and Grazia Varisco. I highly recommend a visit, perhaps with a Sunday picnic with friends. Villa Osti in the countryside around Ferrara: the geometry of solids and voids. The residence designed entirely by Studio Apostoli is located in the small hamlet of Aguscello, in the territory of Ferrara. Called Villa Osti, it is surrounded by a large private garden and covers 273 square metres […].The envelope is defined by pure geometric volumes interpenetrating on different levels […]. Finally, the infinity pool is designed as a natural continuation of the building and dialogues with its complexity, taking up its materials, proportions and pure forms. The careful integration with the context is not only an aesthetic choice, but becomes a design intention in all respects. Villa Osti falls into the NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) category with high energy efficiency and is built according to the principles of sustainable and bioclimatic design. “Surrounded by a large garden in a hamlet near Ferrara, Villa Osti is a private residence […] designed by Studio Apostoli. The envelope is defined by pure geometric volumes that interpenetrate on different levels – with a play of solids and voids – and are characterised by contrasting colours based on neutral tones for integration with the landscape.” 2020-10-28 Pianificando – new website – nuovo sito web

For the realization of the new website Pianificando has asked me to photograph their 15 most recent projects. I paid particular attention to adopting recurring visual schemes to make the images of the various buildings, typologically different from each other, more homogeneous. It was a great challenge to take pictures describing both the projects and the designer: Pianificando, an engineering company active in 2005 in the field of urban and land planning. Intervistati: Stefano Andreani e Stefano Zordan. The exhibition “Olivetti Visions” will take place on the occasion of the “Ivrea Architecture Festival 2020”. It will bring the results of the workshop “Oculus: Olivetti. Canavese. Vision” and will present the visions of young Italian and international designers and architects who, in August 2020, worked under the supervision of Professors Stefano Andreani and Allen Sayegh from Harvard School of Design, to create new visions for the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Ivrea, Industrial City of the 20th Century”. The aim of the exhibition is to combine the visions of the past with those of the present, creating a line of continuity that builds on Olivetti’s heritage for the reconstruction of the future of our World Heritage site. Canavese.
